STOP! Don't just browse by me, let me introduce myself first. My name is Black Jack,
I just retired from the racing circuit and am looking for a nice retirement home, with
lots of food, toys, and a fluffy pillow that I can sleep on. If you can offer this to me, my
payback will be, lots of love, love, love and kisses, kisses, kisses. This seems like a
very fare trade to me. How about you? I am a quiet, gentle, lovable, affectionate,
beautiful giant. If you can promise me room and board for free, we have a deal!

Bubba Jo Casper, that's his full name. He is the most beautiful and obedient dog. He mastered his
10 week obedience training with flying colors. Though he prefers to do his tricks for treats. He is a
very loyal guy, he follows his foster mom everywhere. He is very affectionate and if you don't pay
attention when he wants his belly rubs, then he will let you know with a lick of your hand to remind
you. Bubba is playful and can get excited, but he calms down easily when told. He gets along great
with all the other dogs in the house, but prefers not to live with little dogs or cats.

American Greyhound has partnered with "2nd Chance at Life", a prison foster program for retired racing
greyhounds. 2nd Chance at Life (SCAL) places retired racers, directly off the track, into their prison foster program
for obedience training and socialization. They receive ten weeks of training from two inmate caretakers and leave
as good canine citizens.
SCAL greys require a $300 adoption fee to support the program.

Duke is a beautiful brindle boy that will melt your heart. He completed the prison program with ease
and will sit, stay and lay down on command without any treats or rewards. Shaking (giving paw) is
not one of his favorite commands but not really a downfall in the scheme of things. Duke LOVES to
be with his family and lays in the bathroom every morning to watch his foster mom get ready for
work. Duke can be trusted out of his crate but he still goes into his crate when told to do so. He
has been around an almost 2 year old boy without any issues. He loves to be petted, brushed,
ears scratched and of course, the coveted cow hooves. Duke is an awesome boy that if there was
room in his foster families' house, his foster dad would love to keep Duke around- but unfortunately,
there is not. Is there room in your house and heart for Duke?

Hi I am Curly! I am playful and love people! I get along with little and big dogs. I like to play
tag, but since I run really fast and my brakes don't work that well sometimes. Really tiny dogs
might not the best choice of playmates, unless they can stand their ground. On a side note, I
do not like cats. Hmm..what can I say…I make an excellent doorbell and housebreaking is
going really well. I love my chew toys and I love to eat. I really don’t like to share either of
them. So my foster mom says, I have to work on that. But at the same time, she says that I am
just the sweetest dog she ever met. I am a little shy until I get to know you, but then I am your
best friend and will follow you anywhere. Do you want me to be your best friend?
