I think this is where I'm suppose to brag about myself. The first thing I found at my foster home
was a big basket of furry things that made noise when I grabbed them! I found this amusing so
I tried just about every toy (as my foster mom calls them). I found yummy bones that I have
since chewed up, as these things are my favorite! I get along very well with my 2 foster sisters
and foster brother. My foster mom often has little things around (she calls them kids and
babies) and I love when they come visit because I always get extra attention from them. I eat it
all up! I don't have any problems walking on shiny floors or a few steps! I know where I am
suppose to go potty. I am a good eater. I am learning my name. I don't mind being crated
when the family has to leave. While I sure do enjoy it here & I love all the attention, I would like
to find a family to call my own! I hope to see you soon, Atomic!

Sassy is the most beautifully marked brindle girl you have ever seen. Once you look into her
eyes, you can't help but fall in love with her. She is a few weeks into her retirement and already
adjusted to a relaxed home life. She clearly enjoys the better things in life now. If Sassy sounds
like the girl of your dreams, come and meet her to see what a lovely little girl she is.

STOP! Don't just browse by me, let me introduce myself first. My name is Black Jack, I
just retired from the racing circuit and am looking for a nice retirement home, with lots
of food, toys, and a fluffy pillow that I can sleep on. If you can offer this to me, my
payback will be, lots of love, love, love and kisses, kisses, kisses. This seems like a
very fare trade to me. How about you? I am a quiet, gentle, lovable, affectionate,
beautiful giant. If you can promise me room and board for free, we have a deal!

Hi, my name is Baby. Unfortunately, my forever family had to give me up. Lucky for you, I'm now
available to be part of your family. I'm a very soft and gentle girl with the sweetest face you'll ever see.
I get along greyt with my 4 foster brothers and sisters. I really like my crate when my family is away,
but REALLY like a nice soft pillow wherever my family is, like by the bed at nighttime. I've had NO
accidents, I'm a greyt leash walker, and I haven't whined one single time. I'm still getting used to eating
in my new surroundings, but I feel better here everyday. What I'd really like is my very own family.
Won't you be my valentine.

American Greyhound has partnered with "2nd Chance at Life", a prison foster program for retired racing
greyhounds. 2nd Chance at Life (SCAL) places retired racers, directly off the track, into their prison foster
program for obedience training and socialization. They receive ten weeks of training from two inmate
caretakers and leave as good canine citizens.
SCAL greys require a $300 adoption fee to support the program.
