Delta

Delta is a very sweet little girl.  She loves to ride in the car, and walks very well on leash.  She plays well with my Boxer, and my Greyhound, but also plays well by herself with toys.  She crates well, and is quiet in her crate.  She is also very, very intelligent, and a very quick learner.  She loves to lick you in the face when you least expect it!  She is small for a Greyhound and would do well in a family with children, and also be a good size for an apartment.  Delta also loves to get hugs, and she is very affectionate. Anyone who adopts this little girl, and makes her a part of their family would be very fortunate to have her. She is also a true beauty, so please make her a new member of your family!

American Greyhound has partnered with "2nd Chance at Life", a prison foster program for retired racing greyhounds.

2nd Chance at Life (SCAL) places retired racers, directly off the track, into their prison foster program for obedience training and socialization.  They receive ten weeks of training from two inmate caretakers and leave as good canine citizens.

The Adoption Fee for a 2nd Chance at Life dog is $300 which helps support this program
