Tom

An early Christmas Gift for Roberta and Anthony Bauer congratulations.

Tom currently lives in a house with 3 children, another grey, and a weimaraner. He is a gorgeous, laid-back boy, but is also playful and will amuse himself. He loves his squeaky, plush toys and chewing bones. One of Tom’s favorite things to do is get belly rubs. He performs all his commands he learned in prison without a problem. He has no trouble with stairs, hardwood, or linoleum floors. Walking with Tom is a joy because he stays right by your side.

He enjoys laying in his crate periodically through the day and will take himself there at bedtime. Tom is a fun-loving greyhound just waiting for a fun loving family. He will be your forever friend if you let him.

American Greyhound has partnered with "2nd Chance at Life", a prison foster program for retired racing greyhounds.

2nd Chance at Life (SCAL) places retired racers, directly off the track, into their prison foster program for obedience training and socialization.  They receive ten weeks of training from two inmate caretakers and leave as good canine citizens.

The Adoption Fee for a 2nd Chance at Life dog is $300 which helps support this program
