Nyla

Nyla and her new family. Although a little photo shy, let me assure you, she is one happy pup. Congratulations to all!

Nyla is a beautiful girl with the cutest personality.  She loves everyone she meets, her tail never stops wagging!  Nyla loves playing with stuffed toys, romping in the yard with her foster greyhound sisters & brother, and is the best cuddler.  She is wonderful on the leash and rides great in the car.  She is very curious about new things and enjoys meeting people & has done well with new experiences.  Nyla lives in a busy foster home and has adjusted very well.  She lives with older kids, small dogs and other greyhounds.

She will make an awesome addition to a very lucky family!

American Greyhound has partnered with "2nd Chance at Life", a prison foster program for retired racing greyhounds.

2nd Chance at Life (SCAL) places retired racers, directly off the track, into their prison foster program for obedience training and socialization.  They receive ten weeks of training from two inmate caretakers and leave as good canine citizens.

The Adoption Fee for a 2nd Chance at Life dog is $300 which helps support this program
