Scotty |
He's well behaved and a snuggler! He's fully house broken and does well in the crate. He's only been in the crate when he's been home alone. All other times he's had run of the house. He's never had any problems. Gets along well with his foster brothers and sister. Can you give a new home to this sweet guy?

Buster |
Buster was rescued from an abusive home in Jay County Humane Society. We got a call from the shelter there, who said he was left outside all winter in a plastic Igloo dog house with nothing for warmth and obviously very little food. Buster has scars from and also lost part of his tail to frostbite. When we got to Jay County that morning and we saw that he is only part greyhound, there was no way we could leave this little guy behind. The vet has estimated Buster to be between 2 and 3 years old and stated he is healthy now. Buster LOVES to play with balls and toys out in the yard and will romp and play with his foster brothers and sister. He has yet to meet a person or animal he does not like. We were told he has a bit of food aggression as he was hungry for so long, but so far we have not witnessed that side of the "Little Yellow Bus" (that's what I call him). But because we were told of this side of him, we are suggesting he does not go to a family with
small children. If you think you would like to add Buster to your family, please come see this beautiful boy in person as his website pictures do not do him any justice. |

Tommy |
My name is Tom or Tommy Boy as my foster mom calls me. I'm not even 2 years old yet and I'm already retired! That must be a really good thing because now I live in a place they call a house instead of my track crate, have food twice a day, all the water I can drink and BELLY SCRATCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have squeaky toys to play with and bones to chew on. I live with 5 other retired greyhounds that I like to lay around with on these soft, comfy cushions my foster family gives us.
I am pretty good on these things "Mom" calls stairs and know I have to do my "business" outside. My foster brother Gilligan told me this place is only a training spot for me and that I will have my own forever family soon. I sure hope so. This is really a great life and I want to share it with my forever family. When will you come for me?

Uppy |
Uppy is a shy young lady with fabulous manners. She is a little shy, but really wants to be your friend. She is great about letting you know when she needs to go out and when she is ready to come in. She didn't care for her kennel at first, but it has become her getaway!! If she isn't lying on the floor next to our bed, she is in her kennel. She loves to meet you at the door if you have been gone, but has not ever attempted to slip out the door. She will come when she is called, but is still a little nervous so she paces a little. She is eating much better and has cleaned up her eating habits by not walking around with food in her mouth.
Uppy is a very bright dog and has already adapted to our house routine. I let her out of her kennel first thing in the morning and she trots straight over to the door to go out, comes in eats, then finds a place to veg.
Uppy would fit in with any family looking for a great dog!! Cat curious! |

Mikey |
Mikey's heart is as big as he is. He's a handsome loveable guy whose tail never stops wagging! He gets along well with his foster brothers and sister, but does not do well with very small animals. He'll be a greyt addition to any family with medium sized or larger dogs or as an only pet. How about yours?

Emma |
Emma is a beautiful black and white 2 year old girl. She is very sweet and loves to give all of her people kisses. Emma's tail was short when she came to us (probably a little slow out of the gate once) but that does not stop her from keeping that tail spinning and wagging all of the time. She is doing well with her foster brothers and sisters and has learned her house manners very quickly. She loves to play with toys and is learning new things every day. She is a real doll and looking for her forever home- will it be yours?

Bob |
Bob is a very handsome 2 year old, red brindle with a black face. He is easy going and loves to be around the family. He is getting playful in the back yard and loves to go outside with my daughter and lay in the grass while she swings. Bob knows his name and comes when he is called whether it's to go in his kennel or get a hug and a kiss. He is a great companion for our other foster Uppie, a 2 year old female. Bob is very good about going in his kennel at night or when we are leaving to go somewhere. He does love a treat, but takes it from you like a real gentleman.

We are in dire need of fosters and adopters!
Can you open your heart and home to one of these beautiful babies? |
|
Watch for updates! |
Please check out our "special"dogs, and see if you fall in love with one of these greyt babies. It's easier to place "perfect" dogs, but we feel that all retired racers deserve a long life in a forever home. Please consider adopting one of these "special" dogs. |
