Ringer – 1963 Adoption pending

Kennel Name: JK Ring
Registered Name: Ringer
male
DOB: 2/21/13
likely cat/mall animal tolerant
AG # 1963

Ringer is a very handsome 3 year old that has a wonderful and fantastic personality. He’s just the right combination of laid back, easy going but not super shy or bouncy. He’s a very tolerant hound that rolls with punches and lets you do anything you want to him including bathing him, clipping his nails, and cleaning his ears. This quality would likely make him good with children. He’s a super good walker that readily and quickly pottys on leash when told to do so and loves riding in the car! He’d be an awesome choice for families without fences. He took very easily to the shiny floors and doing the steps in his foster home. He currently resides with multiple hounds both males and females and does fantastic with all of them, including the smaller one. He is also in a working foster home and does crate readily and quietly when his foster mom is at work. Ringer is glad to be ringing his retirement bells, but he’d be even more glad to ring the bell at his forever home! Will you be the one to welcome him? Contact our adoption coordinators so you don’t miss your opportunity to snatch up this awesome black hound!

Betty – 2001 adoption pending

Kennel Name: Betty
Registered Name:(not registered)
female
DOB: approx. 12/10/15
likely cat/small animal tolerant
AG # 2001

Betty and her littermate Beverly came to American Greyhound the first weekend in January. What a way to start a new year! They are very young and Betty happens to be one of the most petite greyhounds we have seen! Betty was never registered to race, but that doesn’t make her any less worthy of a nice retirement as a spoiled companion. Betty is very reserved and would be happiest with another dog in her home to give her confidence and security. Betty is still getting the hang of what being a pet is all about and will only approach her foster parents for affection if she sees her greyhound foster siblings doing the same. Betty will require a home with lots of patience and understanding. If you’d like to learn more about Betty, please contact our adoption coordinators.
