Knight was recently retired from West Virginia and has been adjusting to retirement very well.  He is a very soft, shiny black boy who “talks”, roos and “smiles” when happy or excited.  Knight is comfortable in his crate and goes in when told to and sometimes on his own with the door open.  He enjoys romping around the yard with his foster brothers and is exploring new toys and games. Knight is a good eater and has good house manners.  He will do slippery floors when he has to but is more comfortable on rugs and carpet.  Knight has been exposed to a rambunctious 6 year old boy, and wasn’t afraid of the noise and activity, in fact his tail wagged even harder if that is possible. Knight loves attention and affection and gave kisses the first night of his retirement. He is an absolute love and an all around great boy and would make a great addition to any family, will it be yours?

Tara is a hound that loves her people. She loves to be close to you, (except when playing fetch of course).  She enjoys chewing on bones and playing with squeaky toys.  She has a good amount of energy and likes going on daily walks.  She has an old track injury, but that doesn’t seem to slow her down any.  When inside, Tara loves cuddling and being loved on.  She is well behaved, but sometimes her curiosity gets the better of her and she will take something that isn’t her toy just to check it out (no chewing though!).  Tara gets along well with the cat in her foster home, and is very tolerant of his antics.  So far she has behaved very nicely in new situations like going to the vet, or visiting someone else’s house, and has good leash manners.   If Tara sounds like the girl for you, contact our adoption coordinator!

  • Kennel Name: Lenny
  • Registered Name: Flying Kravitz
  • male
  • DOB: 10/10/09
  • cat/small animal tolerant
  • AG # 1415

Lenny was a 2013 TGIE graduate and adopted out at that time and recently returned due to a change in the family dynamics, no fault of Lenny’s.Lenny is very smart and learned all of the regular TGIE commands quickly and had time to learn to “count”, tho shaking is his all time favorite command. He is likely cat and small dog tolerant, and lived with a chihuahua for the time he was adopted.  Lenny has been exposed to kids, and has reacted like a champ.  He has full roam of his foster house and has had zero issues, this dog has impeccable house manners. Lenny gets along wonderfully with his foster brothers and is just the sweetest, most affectionate guy ever.  When we got home for a week away, Lenny enthusiastically greeted me before my own dogs even got up off their beds. I share the good, the bad and the ugly about my fosters and I can honestly say, there is no bad or ugly to share about Lenny. He is a dream and if there was an opening at his foster home, this boy would not be available. He is simply a love.  So if you think you can provide the forever home that this boy deserves, stop out and meet him.
