Mission

American Greyhound/Great Lakes, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation, dedicated to finding homes for retired racing greyhounds. Our volunteers rescue racers when they are no longer of value at the racetrack, provide the necessary vet care, teach them what it means to live in a home as a companion animal, and find them good homes where they are able to live out their lives.

However, helping these hounds is a costly proposition. Veterinary care is our largest single cost and with the ever deteriorating health condition of racers fresh off the track, that cost continues to increase. Your financial support is what allows us to continue our mission. American Greyhound is staffed entirely by volunteers, so every dollar goes directly to help the hounds.
