Can you help?

We've been hit with some major medical bills. Please help us continue to provide quality care for all our greyhounds. Please donate to our medical/surgery fund.

We have a new little girl that needed surgery to repair a shattered hock. She is recouperating at the vets. They had to insert a plate and screws. She is having problems with her incision right now, but they are taking very good care of her. Her vet bills are mounting. Can you help?

Here's a picture of Theresa when we went to visit her at the vet.

Logan came to us with a cracked hock. Our vet recommended surgery to provide him the best quality of life. The surgery cost almost $1,000.

Snack and Fin are on their way to foster homes in our group. They will be rehabilitated before becoming available for adoption.

Snack has two old broken hocks that are calcified. He gets around pretty good the only problem he is having is that the ligament that runs down both sides of his tail is hard as bone. It should have a little give, which means that he has been taking all the weight in his butt. The wraps on his back leg and the sleeves on his front legs are because of laying in pee. He has pee burns really bad on his back leg and just minor ones on his front. These should be healed soon. He already got his sleeves off and tomorrow we are taking the back ones off to see how they are looking! Snack will be two this month and is such a lover boy!!!!!

Fin doesn't have as many problems as Snack. Fin is a very handsome little guy. Fin has a rip in his abductor muscle on his back left leg and his whips on both legs are very sore. On his back right leg he over compensated for his left leg hurting and now his abductor is sore. Fin looks like he has had hot spots before and he just developed another one. I have been treating it for a few days now and it should be healed up real soon. Fin loves to grin at everyone, he likes to play and loves getting cookies. He turned two I believe in June.

Both of these guys are sweet hearts and are healing up really good. I'm very glad that they got sent here because they were working them down there and Snack and Fin were in so much pain when they got here. Like I said on the phone Snack was shaking so bad from the pain in his butt going down into his leg that it looked like he was having a seizure. Then when I saw his one hock that healed wrong! Looked to his other one and that one was broke at some point too. I just couldn't believe it. Then in comes Fin and he was lame and only on 3 legs. I believe that Snack could have easily died.. He was peeing, couldn't poop becaues of the pain it caused. The good part he was eating and drinking good.
