Around Town With Your Hound

Do all these April showers have you itching to get out and about?  If they do, then you should check out one of these super cool events happening at some of our sponsors or other charities in the area this month or coming up!   Be sure to swing by one on your way to or from an American Greyhound Meet & Greet!  Extra points if you wear an AG t-shirt!
Also, the Bomber Girls, a 501(c)(3) that sends care packages to deployed soldiers and their canine companions.  These ladies are famous in our area for sending hundreds of dozens of cookies to our troops around Valentines Day.  Now, they’ve expanded their operations and are collecting board games for summer care packages.  If you’re interested in donating a game or two, please drop them off at the Porter VFW, 1290 Wagner Road.  Please note the game must fit in a 12″ L x 12″ W x 6″ H so it can get there.  Some examples are Hive Pocket, Farkle, Zombie Dice, Code Names, Exploding Kittens, Left Right Center, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, UNO, Skipbo, and Jenga! For more information check them out at:
Is there a fun community activity in your neck of the woods that’s hound friendly or showcases one of our fantastic AG sponsors?  Email me about it and I’d love to try to feature it in my new monthly column-Around Town with Your Hounds!  You might even catch me and one of my schmoopies there!
